TIMBER FRENCH DOORS
A breath of fresh air
As leading manufacturers of timber French Doors, sidelights and screens for decades, we have a deep understanding of the requirements of different styles of property. Traditionally French doors are externally fixed and allow easy access to a garden or patio from a living room or dining area, benefiting those rooms with stunning exterior views and natural light. French Doors and screens are available in a wide range of characterful designs to perfectly suit their settings and are a great choice for traditional homes.
Our French doors are often traditional in appearance but incorporate modern glazing, insulation and locking solutions to ensure excellent performance characteristics and security all year round. These doors come with a range of benefits;
- Aesthetics – Bespoke design adding more character and visual appeal than patio doors.
- Maximum access – Available in custom sizes, giving full width access to the garden.
- Natural Light – Choice of glazing styles, including sidelights and screens which lighten interior rooms.
- Energy efficient – latest energy efficient glazing units.
French doors and screens can be manufactured in a wide range of designs, sizes, materials and finishing options to suit traditional or contemporary homes. Along with different panel designs, doors can be tailored with stylish mouldings and glazing bars to achieve the required look. Part Q compliant French Doors can also be supplied to meet building regulations and come with secure espagnolette locks for improved security.
Where the aperture is particularly wide, side screens can be supplied either side to allow the maximum amount of light to enter the property, whilst proving stunning views of the garden. Salisbury Joinery can also sculpture the door shape, for example, to fit an archway.
Our French doors are fitted with thermal-efficient double-glazed units and weather strips for all-year performance. A range of glazing options is available to suit any property.
Timber and finishing options
To ensure the strength and durability of your doors we recommend the use of hardwoods such as Sapele or Accoya in their construction. Doors are supplied either fully finished in any RAL colour using our three-coat microporous paint system or white primed for painting on site.
French doors come with toughened double glazing and multipoint espagnolette locks as standard, along with ironmongery configured to suit the desired operation. Door handles are also available in a wide range of styles and finishes to complement the door design.
High quality standards
Our French doors come with a comprehensive 5-year warranty covering the door, frame, surface treatment, ironmongery, weather seals and double glazing. All doors are built to exacting standards, CE marked and meet and exceed the requirements of BS EN 1435-1:2006 + A1:2010.
In addition to high-end developments, our joinery expertise and focus on quality has been greatly utilised through the supply of French doors for listed buildings and conservation projects, allowing developers to enhance period properties through high quality joinery.
