50 Miles for 50 Years: Celebrating Our Journey and Investing in Joinery’s Future
This year, we proudly celebrate 50 years in the joinery industry — five decades of craftsmanship, dedication, and...
At Salisbury Joinery, we understand that every project is unique—and so is every piece we craft. Whether you're restoring a listed building, developing a new property, or enhancing your home, our goal is simple: to make the joinery process smooth, efficient, and tailored to your needs.
Over the years, we’ve developed a structured 5-step process that brings clarity to every stage of your journey with us. From initial enquiry through to final delivery, we manage the details so you can focus on the bigger picture.
This approach ensures open communication, accurate lead times, and consistent quality—so you know exactly what’s happening and when. Our expert team combines traditional craftsmanship with modern processes, working closely with you to deliver bespoke joinery that fits perfectly—in style, in specification, and in schedule.
Setting the Project in Motion
Once your order is placed and the deposit is paid, we begin the process of bringing your vision to life. Within 24 hours, our team sends an official order acknowledgment and raises a deposit invoice. The job is then formally handed over to our design and production departments. We’ll also provide you with a projected lead time, so you have full visibility on when your joinery will be ready.
Gathering the Details
A site survey is arranged and typically conducted within one week of your order. Our experienced surveyor visits the site to take precise measurements and confirm all remaining details. This is your chance to provide any missing information, such as paint colours, finishes, or hardware preferences. This step ensures nothing is overlooked before we move into the design phase.
From Vision to Technical Drawings
With all specifications confirmed, our design team gets to work creating detailed technical drawings—usually completed within one week of the survey. You’ll have the opportunity to review and approve these drawings to ensure everything aligns with your expectations. Should any changes be needed, we carry out revisions within two working days. Once signed off, final production drawings are issued, ready for manufacturing.
Bringing Your Joinery to Life
Your joinery is now handcrafted in our workshop by skilled craftspeople. The timber is precisely machined, assembled, and prepared with attention to every detail. A high-quality spray finish is applied to achieve a durable and professional look. Final touches, such as glazing and ironmongery, are fitted according to the approved specifications to ensure everything is perfect and ready for delivery.
Safely Delivered, Ready to Install
When your order is complete, we ensure it is securely packaged and carefully loaded for delivery. Our driver arrives on-site on the agreed date, and we ask that someone is available to assist with offloading. From careful handling to safe transit, we make sure your bespoke joinery arrives exactly as expected—ready for installation.
No matter where you are in your journey—whether you’re just starting to plan or ready to place your order—we’re here to work alongside you every step of the way. Our team is committed to providing expert guidance and support, ensuring your project is a success from the ground up.
We believe in the power of early conversations. By connecting with us early, we can help you navigate specifications, planning requirements, and all the finer details before production begins.
