Glazing Options

At Salisbury Joinery, we understand that glazing plays a vital role in the efficiency, security, aesthetics, and heritage compliance of timber windows and doors. Whether you're restoring a period property or specifying for a contemporary new-build, we offer a comprehensive range of high-performance glazing solutions tailored to your needs.

Energy Efficiency Meets Traditional Craftsmanship

Our bespoke timber windows and doors are available with glazing options that balance authentic appearance with modern performance.

  • Standard Double Glazing (Part Q Compliant)
Our most popular choice features 24mm (4–16–4) soft coat argon-filled double glazing units, with black aluminium spacer bars. These units offer a centre pane U-value of 1.2, which can be further improved to 1.1 using black warm edge spacers.

  • Heritage & Conservation Glazing
For listed buildings and conservation areas, we offer slimline 4-6-4 Low-E krypton gas-filled units or traditional 4mm single glazing with authentic 22mm full glazing bars and puttied-in glass. These provide a heritage look while enhancing insulation and reducing drafts.

  • Toughened Glass
Safety is always a priority—toughened glass is used as standard in all critical locations.

Decorative & Privacy Glass

Where additional privacy is needed—such as for front doors or sidelights—we offer a curated range of decorative patterned glass. These options combine visual interest with obscuration, without compromising natural light or external aesthetics.
