Comprising casement windows, internal and external doors

Newton-Tony-Joinery-DSC2744-1000
Salisbury Joinery was chosen to supply bespoke timber windows and doors for a stunning new build property set in a pretty village in the Bourne Valley, Wiltshire.

This traditional brick and flint house has combined characterful design with high quality materials and modern features, such as the use of a renewable energy source. The area of outstanding natural beauty in which this property is set is truly appreciated from the new windows and landscaped grounds, from which there are wonderful views over the rural countryside.

Having previously worked with the building contractor, we were excited to partner with them again on this project. After carefully evaluating the client’s needs and submitting a quotation and technical drawings for approval, we were appointed to supply a complete package of timber doors, windows and ironmongery to fulfil all of the external joinery needs for the property.

The flush casement windows were supplied in a range of sizes and featured 57mm thick casements, face applied glazing bars and an ovolo internal mould. The double glazing is energy efficient with a low U value of 1.2 helping to reduce heating costs, whilst draught excluders and trickle vents help provide excellent all-weather performance.

The corner windows at ground level extend to 3.2m on one side and provide a dual aspect vista of the gardens. The windows were factory spray finished using our three-coat microporous system and fitted with espagnolotte locks along with bulb end stays and fasteners in keeping with the traditional design of the property.

To the front of the property a glazed front entrance door was manufactured in a traditional panel design with clear glass panes and sidelights allowing natural light to stream through to the entrance hall.

To the rear of the property we supplied two sets of French doors with in a single pane design along with polished brass handles and espagnolette locks. One of door sets also has full height sidelights. A vertically boarded FLB type external door was supplied for a side entrance and finally we tailored a pair of glazed doors leading from the hallway to the open plan lounge area.
