CONVERSION OF HISTORIC MEWS, LONDON
Casement windows, external doors, internal doors
Lead by a strong architectural team two Victorian mews in the Westminster conservation area of Buckingham Gate were completely stripped out and reconfigured into luxury apartments.
The properties were converted from offices through internal structural re-configurations, basement waterproofing, the replacement of all existing windows and doors, repairs to the facades and roof coverings and all M&E works including heating, cooling and audio-visual systems.
The project included the manufacture of traditional 'Georgian' flush casement windows, raised and fielded panel doors, entrance doors with side and/or fan lights. The windows used the renowned heritage glass to retain the finer traditional details and authentic look. These products where manufactured for a renown traditional contractor to the architect’s specification using approved hardwoods by our experienced craftsmen using modern techniques. These were then finely spray paint finished in our in-house facility. Once glazed they were ready for easy on-site installation.
