Sash Window Furniture

The hardware for sash windows is normally a sash fastener to secure the sashes in the locked position, a sash lift to aid opening the bottom sash, sash pulleys which the cord runs on, and sometimes a sash stop which limits how much a sash can be opened without a special key.

Ironmongery care

The hardware will require periodic cleaning with a moist chamois leather or a soft dusting cloth. For more stubborn dirt and stains use warm water with a mild detergent then rinse off and wipe dry with a towel. Do not use an abrasive compound or a metal polish.

Products with moving parts will benefit from periodic lubrication.
